Q: What happens during recording?
A:
We call your spokesperson.
We patch them into our recording board.
We ask them to talk for a moment so that we can check levels and sound quality.
We answer any questions they may have.
We conduct the interview.
We pick up anything that may need work.
We thank your spokesperson and let them go.

Q: Does my spokesperson need to be letter-perfect?
A: Absolutely not. Thats the magic of technology. We edit out all "ums," "uhs," and stumbles. This is a fun, low-pressure interview. We have plenty of room on our hard drive to make sure it comes out just right.
We will do as many takes as necessary until he or she is comfortable with the results, and we feel confident that we have a good interview.

Q: How many recording sessions can my spokesperson have?
A: One recording session is included in your agreement. Therefore, it is important that your spokesperson be prepared.
Be assured that we will not let your spokesperson off the phone until we know that we have a good interview. We also encourage you to listen in during the interview if you have any special concerns.
You may request additional recording sessions for a fee. Youll find the rate in your agreement.
There is, of course, no charge for additional sessions due to technical problems on our side.

Q: Is the interview conducted in person or by phone?
A: Most of our interviews are conducted via phone. If your interview will air on United Airlines, we will either send an engineer or a recording kit to your offices.
We can call the interviewee anywhere there is a standard landline telephone -- the office, home or a hotel. Wireless, cordless, and speakerphones create interference that will affect sound quality and are not permitted.

Q: Will I be able to listen in during recording?
A: Of course. Just let your line producer know. You can listen via the engineering booth, so that you can make comments without distracting the spokesperson. If you need to speak directly to the spokesperson, we can patch you through.

Q: What time is best for recording?
A: That depends upon your spokespersons energy level and schedule. Your spokesperson should be high-energy and enthusiastic. If your spokesperson is not a morning person, then avoid a morning recording session.
Our studios are available 9:00am to 5:00pm Pacific Time. However, we are happy to work with you if your spokesperson is unavailable during these hours.

Q: What if I need to reschedule?
A: Sky Radio's booking procedures are standard for any professional recording studio. We require at least 24-hours notice to reschedule an appointment. We commit a full crew and studio to you at a specified time. That is why clients who cancel or reschedule with less than 24-hours notice are held responsible for additional production costs which begin at $500 per hour.

Q: Can you record the interview on a wireless, cordless, or speakerphone?
A: No. Wireless, cordless, and speakerphones create interference that will affect sound quality, and are not permitted.
Top
Q: How quiet should the spokespersons room be during recording?
A: As quiet as possible. The interviewee should be indoors, in a quiet room free of extraneous noise like ringing phones and foot traffic, and away from windows.
