IT RADIO NETWORK IS NOW FEATURING INTERVIEWS WITH TOP EXECS FROM IBM AND TOSHIBA ON BLUETOOTH

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – October 18th, 2000 -- IT Radio Network, "The Voice of eBusiness," is now featuring in-depth interviews with Ron Sperano, Program Director, Mobile Market Development for IBM (NYSE: IBM) and Steve Medina, Manager of Worldwide Customer Marketing for Toshiba Corporation.

During the interview with Ron Sperano, he discussed being part of Bluetooth’s special interest group, compatibility and how Bluetooth’s applications can be used.

According to Sperano, Bluetooth is for personal connectivity. "It’s for connecting to an array of devices that would be in what we call your personal domain. Your PC, your peripherals, if you had a camera, a cell phone, a PDA. Things like this. Things that you might find in your office," said Sperano. "It is focused on this personal connectivity and the vision is when you walk into your personal domain, your office, you are connected to your peripherals automatically."

During the interview with Steve Medina, he discussed how Toshiba became involved with Bluetooth, the specific technologies they are developing and what makes the technologies so exciting.

According to Medina, there are a couple of things that are exciting about Bluetooth’s technology. "What I think is most exciting is that we believe that it will be ubiquitous, that if small enough and inexpensive enough, will be integrated into many different types of products," said Medina. "So there exists the opportunity for application developers to create a wide variety of solutions for end users where the cable is no longer necessary."
