Dhillon also discussed the rise in supply chain breakdowns and why the supply chain has become so vulnerable. "The manufacturing processes have become more just-in-time to where people are looking for less inventory to be on hand," said Dhillon. "It’s not only having the products built on time, but also the logistical elements around that need to be tighter. So the role of information and having a smarter supply chain is to be able to do a better job of planning out how various components are not only built, but how they’re moved from place to place for just-in-time manufacturing."
